Black Pita

A favourite from Greece, the Pita is the 2am Kebab's healthier brother, and trust us - so much tastier.

Ingredients for 10 pitas

- 1 kg of flour

- 600ml water

- 200ml oil

- 20g sugar

- 10g yeast

- 50g of olive paste

- 20g cuttlefish ink

- 25g salt


Mix the flour with the sugar and yeast, using a mixer or by hand. Then add the water, oil, Kalamata cream, cuttlefish ink and lastly the salt. Let the mixture stand overnight.

Spread a ball of dough, the size of a lemon, between 2 greaseproof papers and add a little extra virgin olive oil. Cook on both sides.


Serve the pita bread as is, or garnish with homemade tzatziki, olive cream, fresh tomatoes, some sliced ​​onions, roasted meats or vegetables such as eggplant and voilà, you're done!
