    Château Bessan

  • Jean-Michel Deluc says

When it comes to this Château, we can really start speaking about cru quality, because it has all the qualitative requirements to enter the official cru classification. Bessan is a beautiful place, where organic farming over the years has allowed nature to have her say in proceedings and the wines are supremely complex, fine and elegant as a result. Rémy and Sylvie Verdier, with the help of Mathieu, have worked hard to build their reputation for quality, a reputation that precedes them in the wine industry!

    • Ideal for : Dinner, Barbecue, On the sofa
    • Eye : The wine is almost black in colour, with brilliant flashes of purple towards the rim. Truly a concentrated, intense wine judging by the colour!
    • Nose : On the nose, there's a wonderful aroma of ripe black fruits, flowers, spice and some toasted oak as well. The combination is seamless and very well balanced.
    • Mouth : Soft and velvety on the palate, with flavours of ripe red and black fruits, spice and toast. There's some real depth and structure here; a classy wine!
