An expert's opinion

I first visited this beautiful property during its revival in the 90's and I've been under its charm ever since. The hard work put into the revival of the Chateau hasn't stopped and now Château Brown is considered to be one of the finest in all of Pessac Léognan. Serious terroir and intelligent wine-making help to make top quality wines even out of challenging vintages, producing wines of elegance and finesse. This bottle is already delicious today; complex and oh so very Bordeaux!

The estate

Château Brown

The origins of Château Brown go back all the way to the 12th century, when Aquitaine still belonged to England. If the Château and the wines have kept all of their British elegance, Jean-Christophe Mau has been adding some French charm since he took over in 2005. With the pure expression of Pessac-Léognan terroir, it's easy to see how Château Brown has forged such a strong reputation both in France and abroad!
