A modern and elegant Chateauneuf du Pape!

  • The estate

    Château Malijay

Resting on the laces of Montmirail and Mont Ventoux, Château Malijay enjoys, in addition to the breathtaking views, a sunny climate throughout the year. Relaunched in 2007 by Pierre Delton and then joined by his daughter, Aude, in 2013, the Château is experiencing a new youthfulness under the leadership of Aude! The property has come to life with an energy and fruitness that you can taste in their wines.

  • Jean-Michel Deluc says

Our first experience with Chateau Malijay was their excellent Côtes du Rhône wines, both white and red, marked by the signature elegance of their producer. So, naturally we asked if we could step up to the next level and Aude Deltin obliged, showing us this sublime Chateauneuf du Pape. Grenache dominant and supported by Mourvèdre and Syrah for some additional structure, this is a truly delicious wine!

    • Eye : The wine has a pretty but concentrated ruby colour, with softer, violet shades towards the rim
    • Nose : Very aromatic and floral on the nose, with notes of violets, peony, blackberries, cherry and a spicy, herbal aromas. After a little time in the glass, notes of liquorice and mint start to become more expressive
    • Mouth : On the palate this is a silky, sensual Chateauneuf du Pape. Soft, velvety tannins and an abundance of fruit. Delicious!
