An expert's opinion

We're delighted to showcase this wonderful Saint-Emilion Grand Cru from the 2012 vintage, which is just reaching its peak! Like many wines from Saint-Emilion, this is a Merlot dominated wine, complimented by structured Cabernet Sauvignon and herbal, crunchy Cabernet Franc. Produced using organically grown grapes, this is the perfect chance to taste a Claret of real pedigree at its best!

Jean-Michel Deluc. Head Sommelier of Petit Ballon.
The estate

Château du Rocher

Château du Rocher is one of those rare family businesses that has remained remarkably unchanged as it's passed on from generation to generation. Unbelievably, it's now been in the same family for over 500 years! Even today, there are 5 brothers working together on the estate, passionately taking it forward to new heights!
