An expert's opinion

Classic and traditional; it has to be a Chateau from Domaines Fabres! We found this beauty in the world famous Haut-Medoc, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and softened by Merlot, with a touch of spicy Petit Verdot to round out the blend. It's now at its peak and a wonderful example of why Bordeaux is so sought after around the world. A surprise is in store, if you've never tasted a wine like this before!

The estate

Château Laride

Château Laride belonged to Armand Roux in the 19th century and was later sold to the commune of Vertheuil. The building itself even became a hospital during the two world wars! Domaines Fabres then purchased it back in 1976 and have ran it ever since, carefully tending their vines on deep clay and sandy soils. The estate is all of 15 hectares in total, producing wines of real class and authenticity.
