An expert's opinion

An original appellation, a family estate and an original wine!

Finally! Here is an appellation that will change your normal drinking habits; historically famous but more common now in sweeter styles. This dry Jurançon is made in a more modern style and showcases all the virtues of Gros Manseng, the emblematic grape of the region. Domaine Bordenave, located in the heart of the appellation in Monein, has belonged to the same family since 1676. For each member of the family, this cuvée brings together all the memories of the stunning views, terroir, sensations and tastings that defined childhood here. A delicately aromatic wine that makes me both happy and nostalgic; I wanted to share these memories with you all through the wine itself!

Jean-Michel Deluc. Head Sommelier of Petit Ballon.
The estate

Domaine Bordenave

Gisèle Bordenave is the winemaker and oenologist of Domaine Bordenave, family owned since 1676. The estate was completely restructured at the beginning of the 90's to better understand the essence of their terroir and to improve the search for optimal quality! Here they're dedicated to making wines of the highest calibre and with good reason, for they say that the Bordenave spirit is shared pleasure.
