An expert's opinion

A beautiful white wine! A ripe, dry and honeyed Sauvignon Blanc that manages to be both serious and fun at the same time; a winning combination! I'm delighted to present a wine from the Côtes de Duras, close to Bordeaux but with it's own style and unique identity. Domaine des Allégrets is the local star there, and this white wine offers a glimpse into the potential of the wines here.

The estate

Domaine des Allégrets

Julien Blanchard is extremely proud of his heritage, with over five centuries of family involvement in the Côtes de Duras, and works hard to honour that history. A combined love of viticulture, wine-making and life in general is his secret, following in the footsteps of his beloved grandfather, Pierre Carrier. These are wines that combine style and tradition in perfect harmony!
