An expert's opinion

Surely a drink to share with the angels!

A wine that falls from the heavens thanks to our own Lady of Angels, who watches over this property. In this very hot region, the vineyards benefit from altitude and as a result, there is a wonderful balance between the richness of the flavour profile and the freshness of the structure. The grapes varieties, Syrah and Grenache, are a perfect example of this. Put your nose in the glass and take a deep sniff; you'll be transported to the same hills during the Roman occupation, with notes of thyme and lavender, rocked by the wind and scorched with bright sunshine. This is the result of the terroir and the passion for the land of Florent Chave, that offers its wines a 'Gallic passion and a Gaelic lifestyle'.

The estate

Domaine des Anges

Domaine des Anges is a beautiful little vineyard that was started in the 70s. Situated in the town of Mormoiron facing Mont Ventoux, in the heart of Provence, legend says that Gabriel McGuinness, owner of Domaine des Anges, acquired the vineyard at the end of a game of poker. "This is the will of God, for I am Gabriel, the Archangel, and the Domaine des Anges is naturally my home" he might have said upon arriving at his new home, given to him by the gods (or someone playing poker), Domaine des Anges!
