An expert's opinion

It’s exactly what I would expect from a Chablis!

Just like le Vau Ligneau, the Forêts vineyard is located in the village of Beine. That’s what gives it the airy, delicately fruity, mineral floral style which made us fall for the charms of this Premier Cru. It’s exactly what I would expect from a Chablis; the perfect incarnation of the Chardonnay grape with its fruity, buttery backdrop and a mineral character which adds freshness and finesse to the wine. There is a touch of oak and the wine is pure and delicate with a slightly richer texture than the average Premier cru. Bravo to Benjamin Laroche for nailing it!
