An expert's opinion

With the last Okama being such a success and a star of Le Petit Ballon, we just had to go in for round two! The winning combination of syrah, merlot, cabernet sauvignon and pinotage was re-assembled for this cuvée. I wanted to accentuate the pinotage even more than the previous Okama, by crossing pinot noir and cinsault, to capture the real personality and essence of South African wine. A full-bodied wine with a flattering fruity yet peppery finish that will delight you once again, I hope!

Jean-Michel Deluc. Head Sommelier of Petit Ballon.
The estate

Marianne Wine Farm

A South African terroir, a cross between the natural beauty of the estate and French know-how; quite the combination! The estate covers 36 hectares of land, with a full 18 of those planted with vineyards. Christian Dauriac of Bordeaux is the consultant winemaker here and imports the best French oak to help age his wines. His friendship with the peerless Michel Rolland guarantees a rich, succullent style of wine and it's our pleasure to invite you to try another of their excellent portfolio!
