An expert's opinion

Without question, Château Bel-Air La Royère is one of the greatest producers in the Blaye Côtes-de-Bordeaux appellation. If you loved "Gourmandise", you'll be blown away by "l’Esprit " by Bel-Air La Royère. This is the Chateau's second wine, full of juicy fruits, spice and, yes, spirit! Delicately fruity with soft, finely etched tannins and a long lingering finish. Wonderful stuff!

Jean-Michel Deluc. Head Sommelier of Petit Ballon.
The estate

Château Bel Air La Royère

The history of the estate is something of a love story; a story of how the Chevrier-Loriaud family fell in love with Château Bel-Air La Royère at first sight. After a lot of effort, they finally managed to recover the vineyards, modernise the cellar and improve the overall quality. Today, there's no Prince of Bel Air at Château Bel-Air La Royère as 99% of the team are female, forging a new path forward in French winemaking.
