An expert's opinion

Campillot translates literally to 'the little field' in French. This Médoc property, not far from Saint-Estèphe, was created in 2005 and has been offering perfectly balanced wines for several years. The wine has a merlot dominance, which is unusual in the Médoc appellation. The 2011 vintage is soft and gourmet with an aromatic palette that is rather complex for such a vintage. Perfect for feasting on immediately.

Jean-Michel Deluc. Head Sommelier of Petit Ballon.
The estate

Château Campillot

A beautiful story of friendship! It is in the South of the Médoc that two friends, who's passion for wine brought them together, decided to share some hectares of vineyard in 2005. The Château Campillot is thus born and benefits from the experience of its owners. One of them, Jean-Dominique Videau, is none other than the winemaker of Château Branaire-Ducru, Grand Cru Classé in St Julien!
