An expert's opinion

We're completely smitten with both this wine and the estate that produces it. Is it the modernity of the style, the terroir, the grape varieties or the style of winemaking that speaks to us the most? I think it's a little bit of it all, where subtlety and power meet with a unique character. We're powerless to resist!

Jean-Michel Deluc. Head Sommelier of Petit Ballon.
The estate

Château les Amoureuses

It's said that at the beginning of the 20th century, the young people of the local village gathered here and great stories have been told of their romantic adventures. At the gates of Gorges de l’Ardèche, à Bourg-Saint-Andéol, the "Lovers Chateau" as it is literally translated, is a property of 70 hectares owned by Mr. Bedel, a local of the area. For all the wonderful stories, the real beauty of Château Les Amoureuses are its varied soils, altitudes and a land that is worked by tradition, and wines that are crafted with innovation.
