An expert's opinion

An atypical wine for Bordeaux, partly because it's made from a single variety and especially because that variety is Petit Verdot! A rare gem from Entre-deux-Mers, and a wonderful combination of terroir, variety and wine-making. A concentrated, spicy expression of Bordeaux that is delicious now, but will certainly reward the patient!

Jean-Michel Deluc. Head Sommelier of Petit Ballon.
The estate

Château des Léotins

Les Vignobles Lumeau; remember the name! This incredible family have been making wine together for 8 generations, since 1840 in fact! Claude is the current custodian, and has been now for 30 years, together with his wife and son. Together they continue to search for more quality and soul in their vineyards, developing quality wine through Château des Léotins and the Château des Trois Tours.
