An expert's opinion

Finally, a wine from Palette! This intimate and rare appellation, found at the foot of the magnificent Saint-Victoire mountains, produces wines that are fruity, mineral and very elegant. Henri Bonnaud is the star of the region and whilst these wines will age well, I can barely keep my hands off them! I'm delighted to share this hidden gem with you all.

Jean-Michel Deluc. Head Sommelier of Petit Ballon.
The estate

Château Henri Bonnaud

Stéphane Spitzglous is a self-made man. He took over the family property in 1996, following in the footsteps of his grandfather Henri Bonnaud, after whom the estate is named. After selling his grapes to a local co-operative for many years, he made the first estate wine in 2004 and then converted all his vineyards to organic viticulture in 2010. It’s been all uphill from there!
