An expert's opinion

One of my best discoveries of 2015 has been Château Lagrange-Monbadon! The estate has practiced polyculture alongside its vineyard activites since feudal times, and even today there are a large number of sheep and cows reared on adjacent plots to the vines. All farming here is certified organic and the 'Grand Vin' is stunning; I rated it 19/20 which is not a common occurence! Deep, classy, rich and complex, this is a must-have wine for your cellar.

The estate

Château Lagrange Monbadon

Château Lagrange-Montbadon is a mere forty kilometers from Bordeaux, with a history dating back to the Middle Ages! Since then, cows and sheep have rubbed shoulders alongside vines, all of which is now cultivated through organic methods. The biodiversity of the estate is paramount and this complexity is reflected in the wines!
