An expert's opinion

From a country with the worlds most beautiful wines, it takes a lot to be considered sublime! 'Black Sublim' is intense and focused, a wonderful blend of fruity Grenache with fresh Syrah, of soft Merlot and bold Carignan. Merlot is the odd-grape-out making this IGP Méditerranée which, with its relaxed regulations, has produced a stunning wine, rich in fruit and complexity. The result truly is sublime!

The estate

Château les Amoureuses

It's said that at the beginning of the 20th century, the young people of the local village gathered here and great stories have been told of their romantic adventures. At the gates of Gorges de l’Ardèche, à Bourg-Saint-Andéol, the "Lovers Chateau" as it is literally translated, is a property of 70 hectares owned by Mr. Bedel, a local of the area. For all the wonderful stories, the real beauty of Château Les Amoureuses are its varied soils, altitudes and a land that is worked by tradition, and wines that are crafted with innovation.

  • Eye The wine is so opaque as to almost be black, with just a hint of evolution towards the rim of the glass. Concentrated!

  • Nose On the nose there are aromas of black fruits, peppermint, pepper, coffee and cocoa.

  • Mouth Right from the start, the wine is rich and opulent, with notes of ripe fruit and sweet spice. Still fresh and elegant but supremely concentrated!
