An expert's opinion

If it really is a "punishment", as it's name suggests, then we'd gladly take it every day. This is our second vintage with this wine that I love so much. In the glass we find concentration, complexity, and an aromatic palette that resembles a steep landscape of Provence. This 2015 has seduced us completely.

Jean-Michel Deluc. Head Sommelier of Petit Ballon.
The estate

Château Les Valentines

It is when the vine suffers that it gives the best of itself. Here, not only has the vineyard suffered, but the grape harvester too. These emotions are all there in this bottle: an intense and atypical wine, with a Provencal accent of vines planted between Saint Tropez and Toulon, along the Mediterranean coast. Harvesting is done by hand and the vinification is done in a traditional way. Everything is organic, everything is good, so indulge in Punishment!
