An expert's opinion

We have a great relationship with Damien Laureau, the same winemaker who's responsible for the excellent Bel Ouvrage and Genêts, personal favourites of ours. This new wine is made from Chenin Blanc grapes coming from different plots around his property; less concentrated than his senior wines, but just as fruity and mineral. I particularly like the open, honeyed nature of this Chenin Blanc, which is undoubtedly the King of the Loire. Bravo, Damien!

The estate

Damien Laureau

Damien Laureau and his wife have owned this estate since 1999 and quickly decided to focus on the vineyards of Savennières and Savennières Roche-aux-Moines. Located south of Angers, this small estate of 8.5 hectares is based on a meticulous work and respectful of the environment. Here vines are looked after through gentle practices.
