An expert's opinion

What a wine! I'm a fan of this wine because it takes me off the beaten track, and the 2017 is the best I've tasted so far. Fresh and exotic at the same time, with impeccable balance and even a mineral tinged sensation on the palate, which immediately transports you to the steep terraces where this wine is made. Another glass, please!

Jean-Michel Deluc. Head Sommelier of Petit Ballon.
The estate

Domaine Brana

In 1984, Domaine Brana came to life in Irouléguy and injected new life into the appellation. With their exceptional soils, excellent exposure to sunshine and the hard work of the team in reviving traditional methods, it comes as no surprise to see their huge potential realised. The use of indigenous grape varieties in particular, such as Petit Courbu and Gros Manseng, allows their wines to speak with a unique voice that reflects the land they come from. Quality is the ultimate goal here, and working their steep, narrow terraces is truly a labour of love!
