An expert's opinion

This certainly isn't the first time I've highlighted the excellent work of Benjamin Laroche and La Manufacture. Whilst the mainstay of his work is based in Chablis, he also creates wines using grapes from the Mâconnais and Chalonnais. It was a wine from Viré-Clessé that really caught my attention recently, deep in the heart of the Macon, with the same purity of fruit and frank minerality that La Manufacture have made their signature style. Bursting with flavour and freshness; a wine to enjoy to the fullest in its youth!

The estate

L'Atelier

Benjamin Laroche is from Chablis, where his family have toiled the earth since 1663, creating their own winery in the process in 1850. From working the vineyards as a child to commercially managing several wine companies, Benjamin has seen it all. He's brought these experiences together to create his own line of wines, combining his wordly expertise with the terroir of some of France's most renowned wine regions.
