An expert's opinion

A Champagne made for pure pleasure! Composed partly of Chardonnay for delicacy and vibrancy and partly of Pinot Meunier for the delicious, soft fruit profile, this is the first vintage of this exciting new wine. Sandrine's family has been in the Champagne business since the 19th century and as a result, there's a purity and complexity in their Champagne, honed by experience. I was touched by the history and also by the wine, and I'm delighted to be able to share it with you all!

Jean-Michel Deluc. Head Sommelier of Petit Ballon.
The estate

Champagne Lejeune

If you're born into a family that's been making Champagne for more than 200 years, you grow up knowing the industry quite intimately! In the heart of Champagne, in the commune of Villers-Marmery, their vineyards sit, split between Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Exceptional grapes, followed by the expert use of the Champenoise method and a sensitivity cultivated over generations.. a winning combination!

  • Eye A vibrant, golden colour with intense, fine bubbles. Very bright and fresh!

  • Nose On the nose this is a delicate, Chardonnay dominated Champagne. There are aromas of brioche, white flowers, citrus and a lovely note of white mint.
